Events for #EventProfs: June 2019

May 2019. The month that saw Jon Snow and Daenerys sweep their family ties under the carpet and kiss and makeup. Kind of.

But, much like the writes of Game of Thrones, let’s forget most of what came before, because now June is on its way with all the promise of some great events for #EventProfs. Need to network? Seeking out the social? In search of inspiration? It’s all right here in our list of the best networking events for event professionals.

 

Apple WWDC Conference & Keynote (June 3-7)

For app developers and all-around Apple nerds, the WWDC is one of the biggest events of the year. It lasts for a number of days but the biggest news is always the opening keynote speech in which the big new software developments are announced. This is where we learn what to expect from the app store over the next 12 months and which features Apple will be working on. York Festival of Ideas (June 4-16)

This year’s theme for the cross-genre, city-wide is ‘A World of Wonder’. Expect exhibitions, talks, music, film, family-friendly activities and extraordinary speakers. It’s a chance to be inspired and to get an insight into how to run a fun, thought-provoking event across multiple venues.

 

London Technology Week (June 10-14)

If you’re interested in the latest tech and the biggest innovations, pay attention to London Tech week. It’s spread across multiple venues across the capital with a variety of events including talks, hands-on sessions and think-tanks. One thing is for sure though, you will get a chance to understand more about the latest cutting edge tech innovations and the way tech is set to drive changes in our home, work and social lives.

 

AEO Excellence Awards (June 14)

Showcasing the best of the evens industry, the awards recognise talent and achievement. There are categories for venues and service quality as well as suppliers and contractors.

 

MPI World Education Congress (June 15-18)

Meeting Professionals International host this comprehensive, large-scale event covering all aspects of professional meeting planning. There’s a lot to take in, so we recommend making an appointment with a WEC Experience Coach in order to plan your visit and ensure you attend the right talks, visit the most-suited exhibition stands and network effectively. It’s all on offer across four connected WEC villages.

 

Taste of London (June 19-23)

A foodie’s paradise and an #EventProfs hunting ground. Scope out the best and most exciting new food on offer as London’s most exciting restaurants serve up their best offerings and try out new combinations and flavours. Whether you’re looking for potential catering partners, interested in the latest food trends or keen for some foodie inspo, this is food at its most delicious.

 

C&IT Summit (June 21)
London
9am-5.30pm
Formerly known as Event360, the C&IT Summit is one the largest gathering of MICE experts. It’s a thought-provoking day that is designed to give you fresh inspiration for your live events. Expect top-class speakers, fantastic supplier meetings and great networking opportuniites. You can also see our very own Managing Director, Clemi Hardie speaking about the importance of event data and what to do with it.

 

The Meetings Show (June 26-27)
London Olympia
9.30am-5.30pm
Two full days of sessions and events for meetings professionals. The Meetings Show is proud to invite hundreds of top-level buyers and hundreds of suppliers ready to offer inspiration and show off the latest industry innovations. Around 4,500 meeting and event professionals attend every year.

 

Citizen Event (June 28)

The best way to round off the month as a busy London #EventProf. Citizen Event is a relaxed networking event. Throw out your presentations and forget the stiff upper lip, because this is the place to meet other industry professionals over a cup of coffee and a casual chat. One of Noodle’s favourite events for #EventProfs.
