Vision Board and Manifestation Masterclass 2018 (January 3)

Go left-field and set some strong goals for 2018 in this masterclass from I Am Iconic Events. Set clear intentions for the coming months and get ready to kick some serious butt this year.

#EventPlanners Talk (January 8, 15, 22, 29)

The perfect event for January – network from the comfort of your own sofa with this Twitter chat. It takes place every Monday at 9pm and is a great place to meet other #EventProfs and learn more about the issues of the day.

HBAA Annual Dinner (January 12)

The events and hospitality association annual dinner has become a legendary networking event to start the year with a bang. Expect plenty of entertainment and some delicious food. Tickets cost £130.

MPI Global Forum (January 12-14)

Rome, Italy
An industry event for the meetings and incentive travel industry. There will be loads of great educational seminars, destinations and networking opportunities. Expect sessions on everything from ‘Designing Meaningful Human Experiences’ to ‘Neuroscience of Influence and Decision Making’. Tickets cost upwards of EUR 795.

EWL London Exchange (January 18)

Enjoy a delicious two-course buffet lunch as you network with peers and engage in a group debate with leading industry experts. EWL use a unique camp fire approach that encourages each voice in the room to be heard, so it’s a great chance to get to know your fellow dinners.

ILEA Roundtable – Members Only (January 18)

Not a member of ILEA? The Live Events Association offer great networking opportunities and events across the UK. There are 53 chapters across the globe and more than 5,000 members, so it’s worth thinking about if you’re serious about networking events for #EventProfs.

London Summer Event Show (January 23-24)

Banking Hall, Bank
A boutique exhibition featuring some of the industrie’s best venues and suppliers for summer events. On the 23rd there’s an exclusive Event Agent’s evening from 5-9pm, followed by a Corporate Event Buyers day from 8.30am-6.30pm on the 24th.

Citizen Event (January 27)

The Long Acre, West End
On the last Friday of every month you can mingle with fellow #EventProfs in a relaxed informal environment. There aren’t any speakers, so you just need to bring your good self and enjoy a cup of tea and some conversation with like-minded professionals.

The Special Event 2018 (January 30 – February 1)

New Orleans, USA
It’s a bit of a way to travel, but this large-scale show promises plenty of educational opportunities and some world-class networking. It’s the biggest tradeshow and conference for #EventProfs anywhere in the world. There will be more than 200 speakers covering catering, design, business and professional development, event management, event safety, event technology, sales and marketing and weddings.
